Troop 316
Troop 316
Germantown Church of Christ sponsors Boy Scout Troop 316. The scouts in the troop selected this number from John 3:16, which will act as a reminder of the twelfth point in the Scout Law: A Scout is Reverent. Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys around ages 11 – 17 where young men can achieve the core objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship.
Regular meetings are Monday night, 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the church building. Weekend camp-outs are scheduled approximately once a month. Annually, we plan a week-long summer camp at Kia Kima, the Boy Scout Camp in Hardy, AR. In addition, service projects and other activities are planned throughout the year.
Those interested in joining the troop are encouraged to attend a regular meeting. The potential scout will participate with the members of the troop, while the parent can have their questions answered by the adult leaders.
